All of the schooling, the homework, the seemingly insignificant projects, oh and those group projects...Have you ever said to yourself.."why do I need to do this? This is not important! I won’t need this when school is over". If so, you were wrong. Let me break it down for you:
The years and years of schooling you have endured have taught you how to arrive on time, and about rules, ethics, structure, organization, and networking. All of those things are crucial in the workplace and everyday life.
Homework and projects are equivalent to the daily tasks your employer will expect you to complete by or before the deadline.
Group projects are the same as working with a group of people. How well can you work as a team player and are you willing and able to pick up the slack if someone falls behind?
If you thought you weren’t ready for the real world, know that you are and will be. You are in process of collecting all the tools you need to be successful. So keep your heads high and say to yourself I am and will be ready to conquer the world.
Just saying..
